If you are a member interested in shaping the Co-op, come join us for our Annual Meeting. We'll be voting in our Board of Directors and will be discussing Committee creation and chair appointments. We will also be discussing other items related to is season. If you are a member interested in helping to grow the bike co-op this is a good way to get involved. For the eighth year in a row, we’ll be handing out free refurbished kid’s bikes for the holiday season. If you know of any families in need this year, please send them our way. The final count on bikes looks like we’ll have +100 bikes to giveaway along with free helmets.
To reach as many families as we can we are limiting the giveaway to two bikes per family. If there are bikes remaining after everyone has been through the line, you’re welcome to grab another one.
Bikes will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis.
This year we’ll be partnering with our neighbors at the Allen Neighborhood Center to use their space for the day of the giveaway. They are located at 1611 E Kalamazoo St. The parking lot can be accessed from Shepard St.
If you would like to volunteer on the day of the giveaway, please send us a message. We’ll need help shuttling the bikes, setting up the space, organizing the line, fitting kids with helmets, handing out hot chocolate, taking photographs etc…
